ABOUT THE PROJECT
Lucas & Steve are a house music duo from Maastricht, Netherlands, formed in 2010 by Lucas de Wert and Steven Jansen. They break through the EDM scene a few years later after signing with Spinnin’ Records in 2014. Their sound mixes uplifting house/future‑house vibes with catchy melodies, feel‑good hooks, and strong emotional undercurrents. They’ve released many hits like, Where have you gone (Anywhere) Summer On You, Up Till Dawn (On the Move), Perfect, Letters, and collaborated with a number of prominent artists in the dance music world.
Their live presence is equally strong: Lucas & Steve have become festival favourites, performing at major electronic music events around the world (Tomorrowland, Creamfields, etc.), and they’ve earned awards, gold/platinum certifications, and millions (even over a billion) of streams. Their 2020 debut album Letters to Remember marked a milestone in their career, showcasing a fuller range of their production and songwriting.

WORKS
The biggest challenge was untangling the complexity. Vista had packed years of features into a layout that never evolved. Functionality was buried. Navigation didn’t reflect user behavior. The UI looked patched together — because it was.
We rebuilt the structure first, focusing on clarity and priority. Then we created a flexible component system that gave the product consistency without sacrificing flexibility. Every design decision was tied back to a single goal: make this easier to use without dumbing it down.

SUMMARY
A Summary of my work
We delivered a full product design system, updated UI patterns, interaction states, and high-fidelity prototypes. Vista’s internal team now works from a shared Figma system that’s scalable, documented, and ready for future growth. The product finally looks as solid as it performs.
